7pm: Book Launch for Dr Victoria Thompson Whitworth’s ‘The Book of Kells: Unlocking the Enigma’

Tickets: https://buytickets.at/tarbatdiscoverycentre/1837767

Join us for an evening of author talk, Q&A, and book signing as Dr Whitworth explores one of the world’s most famous manuscripts. She will share her research findings and discuss her bold and thought-provoking theory that the Book of Kells may, in fact, be a Pictish manuscript — possibly even created in Portmahomack itself.

The admission fee will be waived for those who pre-order the book, which we are selling at a discounted price. Pre-orders include a personal inscription from Dr Whitworth. The book will also be available to purchase on the night.

There will also be calligraphy workshops with Thomas Keyes held during the day on Saturday 11th October, the event page and details can be found here: Calligraphy Workshops with Thomas Keyes, 11th October 2025 – Tarbat Discovery Centre
